If you’re wandering around the Frederiksberg Gardens, you might stumble up upon a big palace in the middle of it. This is Frederiksberg Palace (Frederiksberg Slot).
The Baroque palace’s original parts originate from 1703. Since then, it has gone through a few extensions, in 1709 and 1733 – 1738. It served as the Danish Royal Family’s summer residence from then to the 1850s. Since 1868 it houses the Army Officer School. You can still visit the Palace, the last Saturday each month (except July and December) they have public tours at 11.00 and 13.00. The tour takes approx. 1hrs and 30 minutes.
