Are you going to Copenhagen for New Year’s Eve? Lucky you! If you’re wondering where to kiss your loved ones when the clock strikes 00.00, here’s four tips!

Join the crowd at Town Hall Square. It’s tradition among many Danes to gather at the Town Hall Square, right in the middle of Copenhagen, to hear the clock tower chime for the new year.

Go for a ride before the new year arrives! Tivoli impresses as always with generous opening hours during the festive holidays. During New Year’s, it’s open between 11.00 and 00.30. The attractions usually closes a couple of hours before midnight, but you can still stay in the park and enjoy the fireworks.

Celebrate with the Royal Guards at Amalienborg Palace. In the courtyard that’s protected by Amalienborg Palace, people often gather to watch the fireworks. An added bonus is the Royal Guard Parade, with royal guards dressed in gala uniforms.

For long views and water reflections – head to Dronning Louises BroFrom here you can see the sky getting filled with fireworks in all directions and just enjoy the festive atmosphere.
