Summer in the city! We know what you should do during your visit to Copenhagen in July. Find it below!

Visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site – The Deer Park outside Copenhagen
It’s not only the Royal Family’s hunting grounds, the park Dyrehaven is a gorgeous landscape and park classed as a UNCESO World Heritage Site, located only 15-20 minutes from central Copenhagen. The park Dyrehaven (translating into the Deer Park) is filled with small lakes, luxuriant forests and of course – as the name reveals – a lot of deers, as 2000 free range deers live in the park. When the temperature rises it might be nice to get out to the countryside and get some fresh air, am I right? To get here, take the train to Klampenborg Station (reachable from almost any station in the city center).

Freshen up with a dip at a beach
Svanemølle beach and Bellevue Beach are two excellent examples on how great baths are available in Copenhagen, or nearby. Svanemølle beach is only a few years old, located 20 minutes by bus from Kongens Nytorv. Here you can enjoy 4000 square meters of sandy beach and the refreshing water. Bellevue Beach on the other hand is located approx. 10 kilometers from central Copenhagen, and a few minutes from Klampenborg S-Train station. This beach is 700 meters long and is located by a cute little fishing village called Tårbæk.

Indulge in jazz during Copenhagen Jazz Festival
The Copenhagen Jazz Festival is one of the biggest jazz events in Europe, with visits from 250 000 people. In 2017’s addition the festival celebrate their 39th edition, making it one of the oldest festival’s in the city. The festival is spread all over the city, with pop up concerts halls and shows at city squares and streets. Some concerts are for free, others cost. See the full schedule on Copenhagen Jazz Festival’s website.
