November might not be the most exciting month of the year in Sweden. It’s that time of year when it’s not really warm (enough) or cold (enough), and the darkness is hitting us earlier and earlier. However, we know how to cheer everyone up, as there are plenty of super fun stuff happening in the city. Here’s what to do in Stockholm in November.

Challenge your taste buds at Sthlm Food & Wine Fair
The fair taking place at Stockholmsmässan is a beloved recurring event for everyone that enjoys food and wine. Sthlm Food & Wine is the biggest public fair of it’s kind in the Nordic region, and it won’t disappoint you. For one weekend (November 9 – 12) you can participate in food- and wine tastings, observe cook-a-longs and try new food and beverage that will definitely challenge your taste buds. Tickets can be purchased here.

Exhibition Magic City at Magasin 9
Magasin 9 is one of the biggest venues for fairs and exhibitions in Stockholm, located in Frihamnen. On October 28th, a new exhibition premiered here called Magic City – The Art of the street. It consists of, as you might have guessed, street art! On the walls and squares, some of the best street artists in the world will present new works. Wether it’s sprayed, painted, glued and with a critical, entertaining or political message, we sure are excited to visit this Magic City. Opening hours and tickets can be found here.

For the film nerds – Stockholm Filmfestival 2017
For the movie lovers out there, Stockholm Filmfestival is the event to participate in this November. From the 8th to 19th of November, up to 200 movies from the whole world will be presented. Besides watching great movies, you can take part in different quiz, parties and seminars. To take part in the filmfestival, you need to become a member. It’s easy, you can become one on Stockholm Filmfestival’s website.

Take a chance to be there before it’s too late, at Fotografiska
The exhibition at Fotografiska by Paul Hansen called “Being there” have been greatly appreciated since it opened in September. Paul Hansen is a rewarded photojournalist who’s covered everything from royal weddings to wars. Take the chance to visit it before it closes at November 19th. Fotografiska, the centre for contemporary photography in Stockholm, is located on Stadsgårdshamnen 22. It’s a great way to spend one of those rainy November days. PS. Don’t miss their bar with a view over Stockholm’s inlet.
