The world’s biggest sculpture park – Vigelandsparken

vigelandsparken

Oslo isn’t just the home to singing norwegians and fish, it’s also the home to the world’s biggest sculpture park – the Vigeland Park. Located by the area Frogner/Majorstuen, you will find the park with 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron made by artist Gustav Vigeland (1869-1943). The park was built during the years 1939 and 1949.

The park is open every day of the year and it costs nothing to enter (except for the museum, which also is Gustav Vigeland’s old home). To get to Vigelandsparken, take bus 20 or tram 20 to Vigeland Park.
