OSLO. 4hrs. Wishing you had been to the poles or sailed on a Viking longboat? Our expedition, Maritime Oslo Private Driving Tour, is the next best thing! Explore Oslo, the Viking Ships and Fram Museum, and their tales. An adventure awaits!
Hop aboard your very own expedition ship (aka private vehicle) and set out on an adventure with your driver and private guide as you embark on an exploration of Maritime Oslo.
Imagine you’re on the ice-cold seas, manoeuvring between floating ice, and in the distance, you see an ice-covered continent which you have to make your way across by skiing. Oh, did we mention you’re not dressed properly? But luckily you are for a visit to the Fram Museum. Learn about how the Arctic and Antarctic were sites of great tragedies as their cold claimed hundreds of lives before explorers had knowledge of how to navigate the extremes of the polar regions.
Going back a few centuries, the times of the Vikings were probably not much easier. Having navigated by the stars, they sailed their longboats across the water and carried them over land, there’s more to the Vikings than pillaging and plundering. Their strength and might was difficult to match, which has withstood the test of time. Just look at the three Viking ships preserved in front of you at the Viking Ship Museum.
No expedition of Maritime Oslo would be complete without a scenic drive through the city centre of Oslo. We’ll discover Norwegian Parliament, the National Theater, the Oslo City Hall and the Oslo Opera House. After 5 hours of exploration, we navigate our way back to your hotel, completing your expedition of the maritime side of Oslo.
