OSLO. 4hrs. Are you a true nature lover, looking for a Norwegian adventure? Stop looking! Oslo Nature Walks, forest to fjord, is the hike for you. Explore Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Frognerseteren, Vettakollen, and Sognsvann - are you ready?!
Put on your best walking shoes and meet us for a hike out of the ordinary, we are about to experience Europe’s largest urban forest on our Oslo Nature Walks: forest to fjord tour! Be prepared for hilltop views - like the ones in the movies - immaculate lakes and wooden buildings.
This hike starts with a metro ride, from sea level to 500 meters above city and fjord. We start with Holmenkollen Ski Jump, the place for Nordic winter sports. Get inspired by the views and get ready to hike. We start climbing through a solid forest, consisting of thousands of kilometers of hiking paths, called the Oslo “marka”. After 30 minutes of walking, a row of 1800s wooden houses in classic Norwegian architecture will appear, we have arrived at Frognerseteren. Grab a lunch at the café before we continue to our next stop.
It’s time to hike through a deep forest, rocky passages and dirt paths. We are heading to the viewing point Vettakollen. This is where the locals of Oslo hike, and now it’s your turn!
With your stomach filled and your strength intact, we continue to one of Oslo’s prettiest lakes where you can let the sweat run off, say hi to the shores of Sognsvann. We hope you remembered to bring your swimwear and towel! Dry up and enjoy that last breath of fresh nature air, before your Oslo Nature Walk, Forest to Fjord, ends. We drop you off at Karl Johans Gate.
