After exploring the hidden gems of the Old Town, board a public ferry for a short sailing between the islands and across the harbour to the island of Djurgården, where another treasure awaits. We are, of course, speaking about one of the most visited museums in the country, The Vasa Museum.
What is the Vasa Museum, you ask? It is home to the world’s oldest, most well-preserved ship (not to mention most impressive, in our opinion!) – the grand warship “Vasa.” Thinking about the Vikings? Think again! This beauty was built in the 1600s when the Swedish Empire was THE force to be reckoned with in Northern Europe! Feel like one of the distinguished guests invited to the maiden voyage as we skip the line at the Vasa Museum. The Vasa is an artistic masterpiece, and she has a fabulous story which we will share with you in the museum.
