Want to see the best parts of Copenhagen and nothing else? Taking in sites like the Copenhagen City Hall, Christiansborg Palace and Nyhavn, our Copenhagen Highlights Accessible Private Walking Tour is perfect for seeing the major sights!
The story about the tour
Are you looking to explore Copenhagen’s main highlights but don’t know what they are? Let us help! Our Copenhagen Highlights Accessible Private Walking Tour includes majestic palaces, charming streets, magnificent halls and everything in between. Join us for a walkabout of Copenhagen and broaden your horizon; there is more to the Danish capital than the tremendously popular area of Nyhavn and the famous Amalienborg Palace. As this is an accessible tour, we have considered the terrain and ensured it’s suitable for wheelchairs and scooters.
Often missed as most people only see the exterior, the best part of the Copenhagen City Hall (accessible via ramp) is the interior. We begin our Copenhagen Highlights Accessible Private Walking Tour at the City Hall Square by stepping inside the City Hall and having a closer look at the city’s long history, presented in the form of charming art installations. If available, we’ll also visit the most exact mechanical clock globally, Jens Olsen’s World Clock, a real hidden gem.
Swapping inside for outside, our next destination is Christiansborg Palace (accessible via elevator). Making our way there, we’ll stroll through the secret alleys and across famous squares of Copenhagen’s Old Town. Throughout history, much of the Old Town was destroyed by fires, but if you know where to look, there are still hidden treasures to be found – luckily, we do! Before long, we can see Christiansborg Palace in the distance. Located on the island of Slotsholmen, Christiansborg Palace serves as the workplace for both politicians of the Danish Parliament and the Queen. It is known as the power centre of Denmark.
Upon exiting the ostentatious palace, we finish our Copenhagen Highlights Private Accessible Walking Tour at Kongens Nytorv. It doesn’t get more central than that! What’s next? That’s up to you! Shop-to-you-drop, and continue your stroll to Amalienborg Palace – the area offers so many things to see and do!
