The story about the tour

Trek through scenic meadows and woodlands to hunt for installations by some of the world’s most famous artists, soak up the fantastic view of Oslo’s city centre, call for spring, and take in the bohemian neighbourhood of Oslo. On our Ekeberg Park & Grünerløkka Private Walking Tour, we’ll explore some of the 30+ sculptures of Ekeberg Park before strolling through the colourful district of Grünerløkka

World-class works of art, history and beautiful nature, our first location, Ekebergparken, is a scream and not just any – it’s the setting of THE Scream! Learn more about the place that inspired Munch’s most renowned painting and enjoy outdoor art in one of Oslo’s most famous sculpture parks. We’ll discover the “Walking Woman”, “The Couple”, “Deep Cream Maradona”, and “Marilyn Monroe” – which would you say is your favourite?

On to Grünerløkka! The area offers a flowing river, old industrial factories, wooden houses from the 1800s and street art. We’ll climb up Damstredet, where you’ll unquestionably want to pause to take photos of the adorable hillside houses and stop by the cemetery of the Church of Our Saviour, to say hello to Norway’s electric trio: Ibsen, Bjørnson and… Don’t know who the last person is? Not to worry, we’ll fill you in!

By the end of the tour, you’ll have experienced Ekeberg Park, one of the region’s most popular sculpture parks, and the alternative district of Grünerløkka, where you can almost feel the creative vibes in the air. Come – let us share!
