Oslo Nature Walks: Forest To Fjord

Do you feel like a Norwegian at heart? Are you someone that loves the outdoors? Our Oslo Nature Walks: Forest to Fjord Private Walking Tour explores thick woods, viewpoints and a lake. Put on your hiking shoes – it’s time to go!

The story about the tour

Hoping for movie-like hilltop views, natural lakes and traditional Norwegian wooden cottages? We have just the tour for you! On our Oslo Nature Walks: Forest to Fjord Private Walking Tour, we hike through what is known as Europe’s largest urban forest. We suggest you put on your best walking shoes!

Our adventure begins with a metro ride to Holmenkollen, from where we’ll start the hike through Oslo “marks”, where thousands of kilometres of hiking paths and stunning views are guaranteed. After some time in the forest channelling our inner Norwegian, we arrive at Frognerseteren, where we’ll sit down for lunch (not included) at the café and recharge our batteries before proceeding.

Next up is Vettakollen viewpoint! On our way there, we’ll pass through deep woodland, rocky passages and unpaved dirt paths. Vettakollen, a destination in itself, is frequented by many Oslo locals. How lucky are you to be here too! From a view of a lake, do you feel like a swim? If you’ve worked up a sweat, there’s nothing better than taking a dip in Sognsvann. What a reward!

Before you know it, our Oslo Nature Walks: Forest to Fjord Private Walking Tour has come to an end. It’s time to dry off and savour that last breath of fresh air. As we drop you off back in the city centre at Karl Johans gate, pat yourself on the back. You’ve just had a very local Norwegian experience!
