Royal Stockholm - Private Driving Tour

Hop in your carriage and get ready for a day of Swedish royal opulence. We’ll escort you from the palace to the cathedral to the warship as you practice your royal bows and waves on our Royal Stockholm Private Driving Tour.

The story about the tour

Palaces, priests and pomp, oh my! Spend the day like a true royal at the baroque Royal Palace, with the Stockholm Cathedral priests and the Vasa warship’s pomp at… you guessed it, the Vasa Museum. Dress yourself up (just kidding!) for a regal tour of Stockholm, including the majestic city districts of Stockholm’s Old Town, Östermalm, Djurgården, Södermalm and Normalm (okay, these last two are the hipster and modern districts, but they’re majestic in their own way too!).

Floating up the stairs, we step right into the King’s official residence – The Royal Palace of Stockholm. We’ll see The State Apartments, where royals have lived and partied for centuries, and the neighbouring Guest Apartments, where visiting world leaders crash during their visit to the city. Of course, you will be properly introduced to the Swedish Royal Family, including the current King Carl XVI Gustav, his wife, Queen Silvia, their three children, and many adorable grandchildren. Next door, we find the Stockholm Cathedral, noted not only to be Stockholm’s second oldest building but also a place of opportunity. This is where a gym owner became a prince! Both of these jewels are located in the settings of the Old Town of Stockholm. Fresh air, medieval buildings and hidden alleys are key ingredients in our stroll of the area.

While on the royal theme, we continue to Royal Djurgården. The three masts sticking out of a building are attached to the house of the world’s biggest jigsaw puzzle – the Vasa Ship. In the 1600s, this warship was built to be the crowning glory of the Swedish Royal Navy… which lasted only 20 minutes. “A” for effort!

By the end of our Royal Stockholm Private Driving Tour, you will understand why these three p’s (look above!) are anything but “lagom”. Don’t know what that means either? Don’t stress; we’ll clue you in.
