Stockholm Syndrome

First time in Stockholm? Then an overview of the city centre, Old Town and Södermalm on our Stockholm Syndrome Private Walking Tour is in order. With a stop for a sweet treat and photo ops, what’s not to be captivated by?

The story about the tour

Are you ready to get emotionally captivated? There is a bank robbery; you are being kidnapped. Your perpetrator? Stockholm with your private guide and they are about to show you some of the best that the city has to offer. Welcome to a few hours of everything that the “Capital of Scandinavia” (don’t tell the Danes or Norwegians we said that) can offer – on our Stockholm Syndrome Private Walking Tour.

Hop between the mainland and islands for a great overview of the city sights, both old and new. Starting at Norrmalmstorg in the middle of the city centre, passing sites like the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Kungsträdgården park and the Grand Hotel, and making our way to Riddarholmen, The Island of Nobility. Around the corner from Parliament (which we’ll pass on the way), Riddarholmen is home to one of the oldest buildings in the city, the Riddarholmen Church.

From there, it’s back over a bridge and down the narrow, cobblestone lanes of the heart of the Old Town. From the historic Royal Palace, colourful main square Stortorget, and Stockholm’s narrowest alley, we’ll cover it all. Halfway through our Stockholm love story, indulge in a traditional Swedish Fika. Never heard of it? You’ll definitely be bringing this one home to all of your friends and colleagues!

To finish off, it’s on to the hipster and the trendy island of Södermalm, “The Southern Island” (practical name, right?!). Here we’ll find second-hand shops, lively bars and restaurants and fantastic views of the city. We guarantee that by the end of the tour, you will have fallen in love with your captor. What you are feeling is known as Stockholm Syndrome.
