The Grand Oslo

Want to see all that Oslo has to offer? Look no further! The Grand Oslo Private Driving Tour gives you the Fram Museum, Vigeland Park, a photo stop at Holmenkollen Ski Jump, and a city drive, all in one tour. What more could you want?

The story about the tour

Looking for The Full Monty (of Oslo)? North to south, east to west, join us on our The Grand Oslo Private Driving Tour. We’ll stop for photos at the Oslo Opera House (climbing the roof if you’re up for it). From royal sights like Akershus Fortress and the Royal Palace to notable highlights such as the Oslo City Hall and Nobel Peace Centre, we’ll wind our way through the city streets covering all the must-sees of Oslo. Finally, we’ll have made our way westward, stepping outside to stretch our legs, where there is plenty of park space to go around.

Walking through the gate and following along the gravel path, a column rises up above you. It seems to be made of men and women lying on top of each other? Thankfully, they are made of stone. Standing at the top of the hill, we look out across a park lined with trees and filled with similar sculptures. You are standing in the amazing Vigeland park. There are over 200 sculptures around the park created by just one artist – it’s an impressive sight to see.

Continuing on our grand tour of Oslo, we jump back into the car and drive along winding roads up the mountain (more like a hill), you can just imagine it covered in snow and the Norwegians zooming past you on their skis. This one’s easy: the big metal structure coming closer is the Holmenkollen Ski Jump – famous from TV!

From sculptures to skiers to explorers – Oslo has them all. If skiers are the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Norway, adventurers should be top three. On the peninsula of Bygdøy, we find the Fram Museum, home to three polar vessels, including the Polar Ship Fram, used for expeditions to both Earth Poles. We float between the exhibitions to stories of fearless adventurers before successfully steering our vehicle back to the inner city of Oslo. Mission accomplished! The Grand Oslo Private Driving Tour – is done!
